Waima - tranquil native bush park oasis just over 1 hour drive from Wellington.

Welcome to our clothing optional paradise in the country. Enjoy a comfortable private room with French doors onto the verandah. Semi-private bathroom across the hall (we have our own half bath upstairs). Our rooms are upstairs.
We have three cats - a 13 year old Mandalay girl and two Burmese kittens (boys) born in July 2023. They roam the house but tend to spend most of the day upstairs in our rooms, btu they are very social.
The kitchen and living space are open plan and are great for socialising, as is the spacious deck that opens off the living room.
Our house is on a 4.5 acre lot planted with 35 year old native forest and park-like lawns, with a stream running through it - unfortunately not deep enough to swim in. Flower and vegetable gardens surround the house.
The property is very peaceful - particularly the paths through the forest, and is surrounded by farmland. Most of the property is secluded enough to wander around without clothes - most of my gardening is done without clothes provided the weather is warm enough.

About the host

  • I am a community involved gay man. I am a former trustee of the New Zealand Lesbian and Gay Archives (LAGANZ), and a former member of the board of Rainbow Wellington.

I am married to Mark Hutchins-Pond who is a senior art specialist at Webb's Auction House, Wellington. We have three cats - 2 Seal Burmese kittens and a 13 year old Ebony Mandalay.

My main career has been in IT, mainly in the Government Sector and and I also worked as a Senior Analyst on the GLBTI Policy Team for the NZ Government. I am now retired, and living on our 4.5 acre property at Muhunoa East, just south of Levin. This property is largely native forest planted around 1990 with lawns and a stream flowing through it. This and the gardens surrounding the house keep me fully occupied.
