Location
In the Bay of Islands, Kerikeri offers a more sophisticated and relaxing alternative than busy Paihia. It is an excellent location for exploring the secluded and less visited bays and beaches to the north.
Within walking distance are New Zealand’s two oldest European buildings on the Bay of Islands, Kerikeri inlet; 4 waterfalls, the Old Packhouse markets, Makana chocolate factory and café. Bay and Cape Reinga tours will collect you from our entrance.
Your Hosts
Lionel and Rob left Melbourne, Australia in 2011 to return to Lionel's native New Zealand, to create Moon Gate Villa. We are always here when you need us, and discretely invisible when you don’t.
Lionel’s family signature appears on the Treaty, just down the road in New Zealand’s premium visitor experience at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and museum. He loves to share his Maori heritage and culture with guests. Try a few Maori language classes over breakfast!
You’ll be delighted with a stay at Moon Gate Villa.
