The accommodation is the entire top floor of the home we live in (you need to climb stairs). The larger bedroom has a queen size bed and smaller a double sofa bed. You are welcome to use it as a private sitting room, to store your bags or pull the bed out if you want to sleep seperately. 

We have been operating as a Homestay / Bed and Breakfast since early 2018. When I say Bed and Breakfast, we don’t offer a full breakfast service, but guests are welcome to share toast and cereal and coffee or tea with us for breakfast. 

We prefer only two guests at one time. There is off street parking for one car.  

• The private upstairs bathroom has bath, shower and toilet. The shared living space (indoor and outdoor) and kitchen are downstairs as it our private bedroom and ensuite. Free Wi-Fi is available and larger bedroom a has a small TV with Freeview and a Chromecast.

• We have a three-seater spa pool on the terrace off the living room that is available for a relaxing soak.

• Guests are welcome to use our kitchen and we can provide limited fridge space, but we generally don’t imagine guests cooking in our home.  Depending on the guests and our timing we are often happy to share a glass of wine or beer and sometimes will be able to share a meal with our guests.

• We are a professional gay couple, Keith works full time and David works part-time from home.  Check in and check out times need to be arranged.  Generally check in after 2 and check out by 11:00.  It may be possible to pick up from Hamilton Airport or Cambridge bus stop if required.   

  We enjoy good food and wine and the company of others.  Travel regularly to Australia and another a longer  holiday most years but have both travelled further afield.  We enjoy hosting like-minded guys in our home. 

  We are both non-smokers, and this is a smoke free home.  No smoking inside or outside, although there is a park right alongside if you want to go for a walk. We have a short haired cat although he isn’t often around. Happy to host guests who prefer to be clothing optional (or clothing limited – we are often just in boxers) but be aware we do live in a townhouse development so there are neighbours and can’t generally be naked outside (except the spa pool).  Child free environment and male only guests.

Cambridge is well known as the ‘Home of Champions'. The Avantidrome the centre of New Zealand Cycling is only 5 mins drive away. Lake Karapiro the home of Rowing is 5 mins in the other direction. There are numerous local cycleways. Maungatautiri Mountain Ecological Island is around 30 mins drive. Hobbiton Movie Set is 25 mins away and the Waitomo Caves are a 50 min drive. Rotorua is just over an hour.

We are a ten minute drive to Hamilton Airport and 20 minutes to Hamilton City, with the award winning Hamilton Gardens.  They really are worth a visit. There are limited Bus Services from the Centre of Cambridge to Hamilton and most bus services stop in Cambridge. Auckland International Airport is about a 2 hr drive but can be more with traffic and Auckland city is a 2.5 to 3 hr drive traffic dependant.

The Centre of Cambridge is an easy 10 min walk or 2 min drive with plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops.  There is a gym a 2min walk down the road and local café about a 3 min walk. There is a park with riverside walkway right alongside our property
