Our rates

3 nights or more $175 per night

Rates include a complimentary breakfast.

Our uniquely designed luxury self-contained chalets are situated on a 1/2 hectare of landscape garden and is sheltered and private with a view of Mt Benger looking up the Teviot Valley.

We are dog friendly and have a safe enclosure next to the chalet if you want to put your dog outside while enjoying the area without a worry. There is a BBQ outside the chalet if you want to cook something. Alternatively, 50 metres from your chalet, you will find our own licensed cafe which is open every day from 7:30am to 5pm, so you can come in for breakfast or lunch or just a coffee and wine in our outdoor garden dining area. We can do evening meals by arrangement as we live on site, and nothing is a problem.

Location

We are in Ettrick on State Highway 8, halfway between Dunedin and Queenstown/Wanaka and not far from Invercargill too (about 1½ hours driving to these locations). Eleven kms up the road you will find Roxburgh where you can get some supplies, shops and cafes.

We are also close to the Central Otago cycle track that goes through the Teviot Valley along the Clutha River. So we can arrange a pick up and drop off if you are keen to cycle or walk while you are here. We can drop you off and pick you up from Beaumont Bridge, Millers Flat and Roxburgh East by arrangement.

There are also so many sights to visit and other tracks to walk and spots to explore the beautiful Teviot Valley and we can help you with that.

The Hosts

John and Lee

Johns is local and grew up in the area and has some historical knowledge of The Valley and the gardener and the creator of the landscape around the property and is also a bird lover.

Lee is from Sao Paulo - Brazil and has been living in NZ for some time now. It was Lee’s idea to get the accommodation going, designed and decorated. You will have a the south American hospitality on your arrival.

As a gay couple living in a fairly small community, we are always keen to meet new people over for drinks and meals with us.
