Whole Lodge bookings comprise the use of the entire lodge which sleeps 13, plus the use of a sleepout at the bottom of the garden bringing the total capacity up to 15 people.
During peak season I prefer group/family bookings for the lodge; however, please contact me if you would like to book a single room as this may still be an option, and I'm happy to accommodate if I can.
The Ghost Lodge began its life as a butchery, built in the 1880's, and has been painstakingly rebuilt with care taken to retain its original charm whilst modernising every aspect of this beautiful five bedroom building and sleep out. It's warm and cosy, insulated and carpeted throughout with a huge log fire providing heat upstairs and downstairs. It's perfect for large groups, families or individuals.
Off street parking available, beach access at the end of the garden, free use of wetsuits, boogie boards and surf boards during your stay.
Downstairs you have the use of a fully equipped galley kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. The dining area is off the kitchen and leads into a large living room with log fire, Freeview TV, stereo and DVD player. Two sets of french doors lead to an outside deck where you can relax after a long day of adventuring or walk to the beach to watch spectacular West Coast sunsets. Also downstairs are three double bedrooms, all with quality super-comfort queen size beds. The bathroom has double basins, shower and a separate toilet.
Upstairs is another large living room with a pool table, Freeview TV, stereo and DVD player. French doors lead to a sunny deck with sea views and a spa pool to luxuriate in under the stars. With plenty of afternoon sun this is a popular place to relax and watch the ever changing ocean and magnificent sunsets. There are two very large bedrooms with quality super-comfort queen size beds.
Rooms are meticulously presented with superior quality beds and 500+ thread Egyptian cotton linen for your maximum comfort. Hand soap and towels are provided in the shared bathroom facilities. All rooms can be locked for your privacy.
All guests can access kitchen, dining room and bathroom.
For individuals or couples booking a room only: If you rent the upstairs space you will use the upstairs lounge and if you rent the downstairs space you will use the downstairs lounge. Upstairs guests can use the spa pool for a fee, however please contact the host as spa pool is only available by prior arrangement.
I'm Simon, your host, and I live in the neighbouring property. I can host you if you wish, or stay off-site - please get in touch to discuss your needs prior to your arrival.
