Our 18 day New Zealand adventure was off to a wonderful start thanks to a great 4 days at Martin and Damian’s warm and cozy Gay Auckland B&B. We loved the serenity and lushness of the garden area, the twitter of domestic birds and viewing the stars from the hot tub. Central Auckland was easily reached on foot, by bus and by train to the harbor. Staying at Gay Auckland B&B was a well made choice.

We are a straight older couple who were fortunate to receive a generous donation of accomodation thru a charity. We had a really comfortable stay in the beautiful garden room and had fab breakfasts with our hosts. They are great company and very helpful. Highly recommended in a very convenient location. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the opportunity to stay at your place. You are amazing hosts.
This is the perfect place to stay in Auckland, convenient to downtown, yet on a quiet residential street. It's a beautiful Victorian that's been lovingly updated by its owners. As an Architect, I really enjoyed the contemporary interior design. If you stay there, you have to see the bathroom in the Garden Room. It's spectacular! The clothing optional back yard is alive with birds and flowers, a perfect place to relax in the sun. The hosts are so friendly and helpful, that you'll arrive as guests and depart as friends.
Martin and Damian are your hosts at this lovely b and b in the Grafton area of Auckland. The rooms are lovely and clean teach with its own bathroom. The shower is a rain spout and wonderful. Breakfast is delicious with eggs cooked to order. (Damian is a chef). There is a hot tub (spa) to enjoy. The b and b is located in a neighborhood that is a 30 minute walk to downtown. There is also the close by rail station of Grafton. This is a fun and friendly place to stay.

Martin and Damien were charming hosts, made me feel at home straight away with their friendly, relaxed manner. The breakfasts were great- good quality and quantity. Martin even took the time to show me some of the city's country parks. For a single traveller I'd highly recommend this as a relaxed and friendly stay in Auckland.
Straight man here from California, I just retired and wanted to visit NZ. I was referred here from a friend and this place is great! I arrived and spent my first night here, and two nights before departure. Well appointed home, large comfortable bed and room, great breakfast that was plentiful and assorted. Martin and Damian are wonderful and interesting hosts. I felt very comfortable here. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.
Wonderful hosts willing to help and provide a great dollar for dollar service. Bed, linen, pillows are well appointed. Shower runs fast and hot. Food is swift and filling (tastes great). Excellent banter conversation. Very quite at night with street parking. Very close to central Auckland for Taxi or walking. Will stay here on next trip to Auckland.
